Toyota Offers Premium Level Value Without the Premium Price Tag

Toyota thinks ahead, we all know that. And while it’s not mandated until the year 2022, Toyota is pre-emptively installing Toyota Safety Sense onto nearly all of their 2017 models. The Avalon is no different, getting this upgrade on all trim levels. Toyota Safety Sense brings new high-tech safety features to their cars, including Automatic High Beam, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist.

The 2017 Toyota Avalon Comes With Choice of Powertrains

Unique to its segment, the new Avalon will come with the choice of either a powerful V6 engine or a gas-sipping hybrid one. The power engine comes in the form of a 3.5-liter DOCH V6 with Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence, producing 268 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 248 lb-ft of torque at 4,700 rpm. Pair that with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters with three driving modes and you have sport performance in a luxury sedan.

The Avalon Hybrid naturally leads the way in fuel-efficiency, boasting 40 MPG combined fuel economy with its Hybrid Synergy Drive system that combines a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine with a high-torque electric motor. Switching between gas and engine, the 2017 Avalon Hybrid channels in the perfect amount of electric and fuel to give you the most efficient ride possible.
